Description
This is an exercise in summer-to-winter conversion. The plate was brought into Photoshop and shadows were supressed to create a more globally lit environment. Layers upon layers of frost and snow elements were painted using various brushed and a Wacom tablet. The sky was removed and the image was then brought into Fusion. The sky was replaced and three layers of snow particles were created and composited in. The final image was color graded and film grain was added.

that's a nice conversion, and quite believable too. I would have found it interesting though if there was a light change towards the sunset, that would have given you very interesting colours to play with 
and some buildings in the background would nicely help with the depth, too. But anyway, I can see such a scene being useful and it's certainly a good excercise
